HOW DOES THE O-SHOT WORK?
Before undergoing the O-Shot, a numbing cream is applied to the vagina. A small sample of blood is taken from the arm and placed centrifuge device (this process usually takes about 10 minutes). The centrifuge separates the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) which contains 8 key growth factors and cytokines that can be used to stimulate cell activity at the injection site. The goal here is to use the PRP to grow younger tissue and stimulate vaginal and clitoral rejuvenation.
Once the PRP is isolated, calcium is added to it causing the PRP to thicken. This step is unique to the O-Shot as it will help activate the PRP and allow it to stay in the area where it is injected. Next, the PRP is injected near the clitoris and upper vagina (don’t worry, numbing cream and numbing injections ensure that you’re completely comfortable!). These key areas are vital for sexual responses, which is why the O-Shot is performed there.
